The Department of Computer Science and Engineering invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in machine learning. The department runs B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programmes and has an active research group in applied AI for Indian languages and healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in machine learning and data structures
- Supervise B.Tech projects, M.Tech dissertations and PhD scholars
- Build an externally funded research programme and publish in peer-reviewed venues
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental administration
Eligibility and required qualifications
PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, with first class at the preceding degree, as per UGC/AICTE norms.
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
- At least two publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences
- Ability to teach core computer science courses
Preferred qualifications
- Post-doctoral or industry research experience
- Publications at venues such as ACL, NeurIPS, ICML or KDD
- Experience applying for funded research projects
Research
Lead a research group in machine learning and seek external funding within two years.
Teaching
Teach two courses per semester at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
